Media: oil pastels, wooden frame, cardboard, watercolor paper
I really wanted to play around with oil pastels.
After testing a few different color combinations to determine mood, I went with a twilight to sunrise atmosphere. Then, I just repurposed a thrifted frame to encapsulate the animation.
It was a nice little project to do that has all my interests in one. Traditional art, replacement animation, and sitting in the wind on a mountaintop with a too thin shawl...normal interests, ya know.
Media: watercolor/pencils, watercolor paper, ink pen
After scrolling though tiktok, the video of a young woman doing folkloric Mexican dances really stuck with me. This was a quick turnaround, so I didn't take too many progress pictures.
It went from watching the video, sleep for a day, wake up animating, hand color the animation, then film and edit in the span of two days with breaks for other projects in-between.
I'd love to do more dancing animations soon.

An ancient candleholder comes to life. I want to take this little guy into a 3D space soon but I wanted to figure out his movements in 2D.
What a little man!
